Thomas loved adventure. He had been to several adventurous voyages. There is thrill in an adventure, but it has its price. Some adventures can be risky. Recently, Thomas had been on an adventurous voyage, when his ship sank. Thomas was the only survivor of the shipwreck and was washed up to a deserted island. He prayed to God for help but nothing happened. He managed to build a small hut over a few days. But one day, he returned from hunting to find his hut in flames and the smoke reaching the sky. “God, how could you do this to me?” he cried, stung with grief and anger. The next morning, Thomas woke up by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. “How did you know I was here?” Thomas asked his rescuers. “We saw your smoke signal,” the captain replied. Thomas learnt to trust God blindly.
