With a wingspan of 15-16 cm, this butterfly is a large insect, which is known as ‘birdwing’ because of its exceptionally large wings and bird-like flight. Its diet is comprised of nectar from various plants, while the larvae feed specifically on the flowers from the Birthwort family. Eggs are laid on the tips of the veins of leaves, one egg per leaf.
