Golden chain is a large, robust, spreading deciduous flowering tree with glorious, golden-yellow spring colour every year. It grows up to 5-25 feet tall. It is quick-growing and looks spectacular even when not in bloom because of its pretty, cut foliage. The flowers are produced in long streams, and are fragrant. The wood is hard and heavy, of a yellow/brown colour. This type of wood is ideal for making posts, for woodturning and as fuel.
