The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans across the Golden Gate strait. The Bridge is on the three-mile long channel built between the San Francisco bay and the Pacific Ocean. The Golden Gate Bridge was built between 1933 and 1937.
Why it is special: While the Bridge was built to link the city of San Francisco to Marine County, it has become a symbolic representative of San Francisco, California. Infused with art deco elements and a striking orange vermillion colour, the Bridge is one of the most photographed bridges in the world.
