Good neighbours indicate good luck but it is a matter of chance and depends on the situation of house. Generally neighbours behave nicely but some neighbours are quarrelsome. Neighbours are an asset if they are peaceful learned persons or busy businessmen. They are condemnable if they are drunkard or persons of bad character. A family had to face generally both kinds of persons.
My neighbour with whom I had good relations was a teacher. He used to remain busy in reading books and in helping students. He is a very learned person. His wife was a homely lady and used to remain busy in making food and in looking after children and in other domestic duties as a housewife. Both husband and wife used to teach children and used to tell them that they should devote their energy and time for studies. But their children were mischievous and instead of study they used to commit many sort of mischief. They used to quarrel with other boys and children and were accustomed of to making fun of elders. These evil habits of children made their parents very sad. They used to advice them to behave properly but it used fell on dumb ears of their children.
My other neighbour was a businessman. He was very rich as he had flourishing business of jewellery. His wife possessed lot of gold ornaments and had a maid servant to cook food and to do other domestic duties. They had four children, two boys and two girls, who used to study in public school. The businessman and his wife were very courteous and soft spoken but very miser. They always talk in such a way so that other neighbours may purchase ornaments from their shop. They were very proud of their richness and did not used to talk with poor persons.
My third neighbour was a lawyer. He used to show himself very busy and learned person. He used to lead a luxurious life with great pomp and show. He possessed a car. He had one clerk to see out work and one steno to do typing work. His wife was very quarrelsome. So ladies of neighborhood used to fear her.
Thus I had neighbours of different nature and of different occupations and professions.
