It was Friday 22. Della Frog remembered that it was her best friend June’s birthday today. June had personally come to Della’s house and given her the invitation card. June had invited many other friends as well. Della went to the market and bought a lovely present for June. She also bought a new frock for the party. It was a pretty orange frock. She also bought matching sandals. She wore them excitedly and set off. But she had forgotten that she would have to cross the stream to get to June’s house. She did not want to get her new frock wet. So, she thought for a while. Then she remembered the stepping stones that crossed the stream not far away. So she arrived at the stepping stones and hopped across to the other side. And the frock stayed nice and dry and so did the sandals.
