Once, there lived a little girl named Elizabeth. She had a doll. She loved her doll very much. Her friends used to laugh at her for being so careful. Time passed. Elizabeth grew up into a lovely young lady. She married and had children. Once, Elizabeth, now a grandmother, decided to return to her ancestral town. She visited her childhood house that was now in a dilapidated condition. She saw many old things scattered around. Among them lay her favourite doll! It was still as pretty as it used to be. Elizabeth picked it up and lovingly gave it to her grand-daughter. The little girl was thrilled to get her grandmother’s doll. Whenever Elizabeth saw her grand-daughter play with the doll, her eyes welled up with tears. She was very happy that she took good care of her doll so that now the little girl might play with her grandma’s favourite doll.
