They measure up to a 6 feet shoulder height, 12.5 feet length and weigh up to 2000 kg. Both males and females have a single horn that develops after 6 years of age. It has thick silver-brown skin that becomes pinkish near the skin folds. They are herbivores and graze on grass, shrubs or some aquatic plants.
