Living as deep as 1,200 metres, the great white shark is the most dangerous shark in the world. It measures 4.0-5.2 metres long and weighs 680-1,100 kg. It has a conical snout and rows of serrated teeth behind the main ones. They are ovoviviparous with 11 month gestation period. Their lifespan is 70 years reaching sexual maturity at 30 years.
