Interesting fact : A plant-feeding stink bug, the green vegetable bug is considered to be a pest of agricultural crops specifically legumes, soyabeans and beans.
While the male at 12 mm is slightly smaller than the female, each of them has a shield-shaped green body with red eyes. Their diet is comprised of various agricultural crops. Females lay 30-130 eggs, which are tightly packed together and glued firmly to the bottom of a leaf. These eggs take anywhere between 5 to 21 days to develop.
