Gregory was a curious boy. He would be filled with wonder looking at the blue sky. He wondered at the sparkling stars. He had too many questions. He knew only Uncle Anthony, an astronomer, would be able to answer his questions. “Why is the sky blue?” Gregory asked his Uncle Anthony. He explained, “Sunlight is made up of all the colours of the rainbow. But when sunlight passes through the air around the earth, only blue light can be seen most clearly. That is why the sky seems blue!” “Why do stars twinkle?” asked Gregory the next day. Uncle Anthony said, “Come; I will answer all your questions.” He took Gregory to a planetarium and taught him all about the sun, planets, stars and the galaxy. Gregory enjoyed the visit. He was delighted. He told Uncle Anthony, “When I grow up, I want to be an astronomer, just like you!”
