Gregory was a talented sculptor who lived in a small village. He went to the quarry and brought large pieces of stones and made beautiful statues. One day, the head of the village went to Gregory and placed an order to make a large statue of a fairy for his daughter. As Gregory searched for an appropriate stone for the statue, he saw a strange yellow-coloured stone. He thought, ‘This stone would be just right for the statue.’ Thus, Gregory took the stone home and worked hard to make the statue of a fairy. When the statue was ready, he spoke loudly, “This statue is so beautiful that I wish it would come alive!” Just then, the statue turned into a real fairy! She said, “A wicked witch had turned me into a stone. But with your help, I have become a fairy again.” The fairy gifted Gregory with a bag of golden coins and flew away. Gregory was never poor again.
