Greg and his uncle Mathew went to a wonderful cottage by a river. In the evening, they both collected piles of wood and created a magnificent bonfire. Around midnight, Greg was awakened by a distant cry. His uncle’s bed was empty. Stepping out of his room, Greg saw a huge creature disappear into the shadows. A little while later, his uncle appeared. “Why are your eyes so red?” asked Greg. His uncle laughed. Thereafter, Greg found his uncle’s behaviour strange. Sometimes, his lips would be deep red and there were scratch marks on his back. One night, Greg woke up for a drink of water. As he looked out of the window, he saw a big wolf ripping apart an animal. The werewolf then crept into his uncle’s room. Greg peeped through the door. In the bright full moon light, he saw the werewolf transform back into his uncle!
