Their docile nature, responsiveness to handling and feeding, and ease of caring make them very popular pets. They vary in hair colour, ranging from black, white, shades brown and grey and also have different types of fur depending on their breed from short to long and curly. They weigh between 0.7-1.2 kg, are 20-25 cm in length, and live up to 5 years on an average.
