Hale loved to watch TV. He would be irritated when he could not see his favourite cartoon show. Once, there was no electricity in his house. Hale was crying because he could not watch TV. He kept on pestering his granny. It was a cold, dark morning without electricity while Hale was wailing aloud. Hale complained to his granny, “I can’t live without electricity or TV! You know that very well. Why don’t you do something?” “Okay; let’s light the magic lamp,” said granny. She took out an old lamp and poured some oil into it. She lit the lamp. The room became brighter. Hale looked on in awe at the shadows formed by the flame on the wall. Granny said, “See; electricity isn’t that important. A small lamp can also magically light up the entire room. We must enjoy the moment we live in and look for magic in it.”
