Hannah was quite excited when she came to know that she was expecting a baby. She just couldn’t stop herself from thanking God for His blessings. She named her baby as Samuel. The next year when the complete family was preparing to visit Shiloh, she decided to stay back, as Samuel was too small. She remembered her promise to God and called Eli and handed over Samuel to him. He was supposed to stay in the shrine and learn the ways to serve God. She would go to Shiloh every year to visit him, and gifted him a coat. Little Samuel was good and hardworking. Eli was quite impressed with his work, and thanked Elkanah and Hannah for offering him to God. He said, “May God bless you with more children!” Hannah was blessed with three sons and two daughters However, she couldn’t forget her first child, who was special to her.
