Arjun could not understand why Ram was referred as the greatest archer if he had to take the help of the monkeys to build a bridge. He wanted to meet Hanuman who knew about Ram in depth. While thinking about all this, Arjun entered a temple. He saw an old monkey sitting in a corner. He was chanting Ram’s name. Arjun recognised him, ‘This must be Hanuman!’ Arjun bowed before Hanuman and said, “O Hanuman! I want to meet you desperately. I have a doubt regarding Lord Ram. Why did Ram himself not think of constructing a bridge with arrows? Why did he take the help of the monkeys?” Hanuman said, “Arjun, no archer can construct a bridge of arrows that can withstand the weight of so many monkeys. Can you do so? I bet; your bridge will not be able to withstand even my weight, an old monkey’s weight!”
