Hanuman’s glory lay in his humility. It is only when he was told about them, that he realised the great hidden powers he possessed. As he grew in size and heard Jambavan talk about these qualities, he knew he could achieve the purpose for which Rama had sent him with the troop. The vanara sena shouted and cheered in delight as Hanuman glowed with new energy and stood like the Himalayas. Lord Vishnu had two servants who remained his trustworthy devotees always. The senior one was Garuda, the great Eagle King who carried the Lord on his back and was always with him. The junior servant was Hanuman whose entire life revolved around his beloved Lord in the form of Rama. It is this devotion that led Hanuman to carry out any task for Rama successfully.
