Hatim was successful in finding Yusuf’s grand-children in China. He told them that their grand-father had sent him as a messenger to give them a better life. They laughed at him and called him a thug! They refused to hear what he had to say and said, “How can a person, who has been dead for more than a hundred years, talk to you? We must take you to our King.” When the King heard Hatim, he said, “How can you prove what you say is true?” Hatim said, “Take me to Yusuf’s home. He told me where he has hidden his treasure.” Everyone accompanied Hatim to Yusuf’s old home. Hatim dug the place and there were several chests full of gold! The King said, “Hatim, this is your wealth as you found it; do what you have to do with it.” Hatim did what Yusuf desired and freed him from his miserable condition.
