Helen and Her Myna

It was a cold morning. Helen was playing in the garden in the sun. She saw there a Myna lying on the ground. It was squeaking in pain. One of its wings was broken. Helen carefully picked up the bird and took it to her mother. Her mother told her to take it to hospital. They both drove the bird to the animal hospital. The doctor bandaged the bird’s broken wing and said it would take a week to heal. When Helen returned from school, she would run to look at the Myna. After some days the Myna’s wings healed up. Helen grew very fond of the little bird. Helen asked her mother, “Mom, can we keep it? Her mother told her “ Do not put the bird in cage. Let it fly to her home. Her mother must be waiting for her.” Helen felt sad. But still she set the bird free to fly in the sky. Every morning the Myna came to her window and Helen was very happy to see her again and again.
