The Het Hypo variant of the Brazilian rainbow boa snakes lacks genes for black pigments and appears lighter. They are usually brown or reddish with black rings making them one of the most beautiful snakes and much-loved pets. They live on land in humid woodland forests feeding on lizards, rodents and birds. These 6 footers live for 20 years.
