It was close to Halloween. Jack and his friends were playing hide and seek at night. Jack was picked to go and hide. He went into the forest, thinking no one had enough courage to follow him. Then, Jack heard the rustling of leaves as he approached a tree. When he checked to see, he saw an eerie creature that towered over him. He looked at Jack with glowing yellow eyes. Jack thought, ‘It must be one of my friends trying to play a Halloween prank on me.’ So, he tried to laugh, but the creature growled at him, baring scissor-like sharp teeth. As it approached him, Jack ran as fast as he could to the building, where his friends were playing. Jack never looked back, but he could hear the creature panting from behind. He ran into the concrete parking lot, where his friends were. When Jack told his friends, some believed him; some did not.
