Samuel’s class teacher announced in the class, “Children, you have to write on one act of kindness you have done. This is your project for which you will be awarded grades. Go and do your best.” Poor little Samuel did not know what to do. ‘What shall I write about? I don’t know anything,’ Samuel thought. Some of his friends were visiting an orphanage, while others were going to visit slums. “Mom, what shall I write in my project?” he asked his mother. His mother said, “Samuel, you know what you have to do.” “What mom?” Samuel asked. “Don’t you ask me to pack some slices of bread in your lunch-box to feed the homeless puppies? This is kindness. You already know about kindness because you act like a kind person. You are kind at heart. Just write about it,” the mom said. Samuel wrote about feeding the puppies. He got ‘A’, the best grade.
