The horseshoe crab is found in sandy bottoms of oceans. It grows up to 60 cm long. A hard shell covers its entire body and has five pairs of legs that end with a claw, except the last pair. The crab has a long, rigid tail which is used to flip itself if it is turned over. It feeds on crustaceans and small fish.
