How Rainbow was Created

Once upon a time, each animal lived in its own special land that was the same colour as it was. In fact, each animal was the same in its own land. One day, in the land of orange elephants, a little bird came and said that she had seen some purple cows. None believed her, so the bird asked them to follow her to the boundary. All the elephants agreed and followed her. After an hour, they arrived in the land of purple cows and could see that it was true. The elephants were amazed to see the purple cows and the cows were surprised too. They met and introduced themselves. One of the elephants suggested to find the other group of animals. Both the groups agreed with him and decided to go in search of other animals.

All the orange elephants and the purple cows began their journey together. They found different colours of land and animals on their way. They saw the land of blue crocodiles, the land of yellow birds, the land of green dogs, the land of red rabbits, the land of indigo bears and many more. Animals of different colours were looking amazingly beautiful altogether. While they were introducing themselves to one another, a heavy rainfall started. All animals were happy as they loved the rain. They danced and played together. The rainwater mixed up all the colours from different animals and a spectrum of light appeared in the sky. It took the form of a multicoloured circular arc including violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red colours. All animals were amazed to see that beautiful arc in the sky and because it was formed at the time of rain, they named it ‘Rainbow.’
