Haroo was a poor man. One day, he went to his rich brother for help. “I have no money to spare you,” said his brother. Haroo walked back sadly. He saw a shiny pebble on the road and picked it up absent-mindedly. Suddenly he heard a voice say, “This pebble will grant you three wishes.” Haroo was overjoyed at his luck. Overnight, he became rich and lived happily. When his brother heard about his change of fortune he stole the pebble. To escape from Haroo, he jumped on a boat and rowed out to the sea. He prayed to the pebble to give him salt, which he could sell for a rich sum. The pebble churned heaps of salt. Unfor-tunately not knowing how to stop the churning, the boat became full of salt. It overturned and drowned the wicked brother. As for the pebble, it is still churning salt from the bottom of the sea!
