Long ago, there was a man named Igal Shidal. Once, at night, he was travelling in the countryside. He was scared to see a ‘lion’ sitting in the middle of the road. He was a coward. He thought, ‘Oh, this is a lion,’ and stood where he was. He quickly took his shield and spear, and was ready to fight against the lion. He shouted loudly and tried to scare the lion away. But the lion was not scared and kept sitting at its place. Igal Shidal was too scared to pass but somehow managed to reach home. In the morning, he saw a tree-stump there. He went closer and said, “Stump, you are one thing, but what I saw was something very different. I thought you were a lion about to attack me, but you are only a stump. I will never travel at night again.” The story teaches us to never be afraid of something you don’t recognise.
