Jake and his family were holidaying in Australia, one summer. While they were on the beach, Jake found a beautiful sea shell. It was pink and grey with a lovely texture. As he walked on, he found two more of the same kind. When he showed them to his parents, his younger sister Jane cried out, “I want them!” Jake said, “I found them!” Jane squealed, “But I want them, too!” No matter how much Jane cried, Jake refused to give the shells to her. Months later, Jane became very ill and the doctor said, “Keep her happy.” Along with his family, Jake, too, wanted to do something to make Jane feel happy. Suddenly, he remembered the sea shells. So, with his mother’s help, Jake cleaned them properly and wrote Jane’s name on them. When he gave the shells to Jane, she exclaimed, “Oh! Thank you so much!” Jake’s parents were proud of him.
