Jeffery’s uncle was a magician in Israel. He usually sent gifts for Jeffery and his parents. One afternoon, the delivery man brought a large packet. Jeffery shouted with excitement, “Mom! See, the uncle has sent such a beautiful carpet!” Jeffery’s mother was going out shopping for grocery. She said, “I have to step out. Wait for me; we’ll open it together.” However, the carpet was very beautiful and Jeffery could not wait. So, he unrolled the carpet himself and sat on it. “I wish this was a magic carpet. Maybe I should ask it to fly,” he said. As soon as he uttered those words, the carpet rose in the air. “Wow! This is really a magic carpet. The uncle must have put a spell on it!” said Jeffery to himself. As the carpet rose higher and higher, Jeffery started feeling scared. Fortunately, his mother came home and rescued him with the help of a ladder.
