Jennifer had been cleaning her house. In the attic, she found an old chair with a carved back and a pink satin cushion. It looked very comfortable, so she sat on it. Suddenly, Jennifer found she was transported to a different land! It had many hills, waterfalls and rivers. She walked over a wooden bridge and found herself in a city where a celebration was going on. “What is happening?” she asked a passerby. “It is said that today a stranger will come to our city and our Prince Melvyn will marry her!” said the man. Quite forgetting that she was a stranger, Jennifer joined the crowds on the road. Prince Melvyn stopped his carriage and came to Jennifer, saying, “Welcome to our land! Will you marry me?” Jennifer married Prince Melvyn. Can you imagine her surprise when in the palace she found a beautiful carved chair with a pink cushion?
