Little Joshua was a kind-hearted boy. He loved animals. He could not see animals in trouble. Whenever he found children troubling animals, he came forward to save them. One day, little boys and girls who were Joshua’s friends, were playing in the park, when a tiny puppy, with an ugly snout appeared. A foul smell emanated from the dog and soon the children were kicking and pelting stones at him. The puppy yelped in terror, but the children had no pity. Little Joshua felt sorry for the puppy and shouted at the other children for troubling him. He then took the puppy home and gave him a nice hot bath. He also fed the puppy a bowl of warm milk and biscuits. The puppy wagged its tail whenever it saw Joshua. Within a few days, the puppy looked healthy. The other children felt sorry for troubling the poor puppy.
