Kiwi is a woody deciduous vine. It can grow up to 10 metres tall. The flowers are white to cream-coloured. The russet-brown fruit is an oval berry densely covered with short, stiff, brown hair. The fruit has green flesh containing many hundreds of tiny black seeds. The fruit has a tangy sweet flavour somewhat like a strawberry blended with a pineapple. This plant with its large heart-shaped leaves can spread to 30 feet wide. Kiwis contain around 10% total sugars. They are rich in vitamin C.
