Traditionally, Korean Funerals last for 3 days, during which many customs including washing and cleaning the deceased and placing him lying so that they point to the south. Food for the ‘messenger from the other world’ is place on a table near by. And rice, 3 coins and some beads are placed in the mouth of the deceased. The body is also wrapped in a special cover. The deceased is buried on the third day.
