Kraits are a group of highly venomous snakes. There are 13 different species growing to an average length of 1 to 1.5 metres. Kraits are glossy with alternating dark and bright bands. You can find them in rats’ holes, old houses and semi-aquatic areas. They are active in the night and prey on other snakes, other kraits, frogs, lizards and small mammals.
