Before advent of man and after, the world has been governed by the rules of nature which may also be termed as the natural laws and principles. We also see natural laws working all the time around us but we fail to notice them because we do not possess the perceptive mind like that of Newton and do not analyse situations or happenings. ‘WHY’s do not dog our minds. But Newton noticed the nature and its laws at work which made him analyse and contemplate over the natural acts or tendencies. Before defining and propounding the Principle or Law of Gravity Newton had noticed that all things tended to fall down on ground and never went up towards the sky. He also took note of the fact that the sun, moon, planets and stars were positioned high on the earth but they did not fall down. Newton wished to know why?
