Almost 8 inches in length, the leopard slug has 4 tentacles on its head, and has leopard-like markings from its head all over the body. Drawn to human establishments, the leopard slug usually finds its way towards cities and road side areas. It prefers dark moist areas like the underside of logs and stones to hide under during the day. It is a nocturnal creature which eats almost anything, from fungi to plants and fellow slugs! This slug lays eggs in a cluster. It takes new-born slugs 2 years to reach maturity.
