Matthew loved his granny. She would tell him stories every day. He was waiting for his granny’s birthday. Actually, he wanted to surprise his granny. He had planned a surprise party for his granny. She was turning 80 this year. ‘What a wonderful party it will be!’ thought Matthew, as he planned everything. He wanted this party something that his granny would remember forever. But on that day, a hurricane swept through town. It spoiled his arrangements. Matthew felt very sad. All his grand plans had completely failed. Just then, his granny came in and showed him a beautiful picture. “Look Matthew; see how beautiful I looked when I was young. Frankly, 80 is not an age I want to celebrate. I want to forget it, not remember it,” she said wistfully. Matthew smiled and thought that even life’s little surprises have a way of working out for the best.
