It was Princess Linda’s wedding day. Her bridegroom wore his regiment’s uniform, for he was an officer in the king’s army. The church was decorated with flowers. The organ was playing softly while a band waited outside to begin welcoming the guests. The king and the queen were busy checking up that everything was fine; the food and wine were laid out. Princess Linda was ready. She wore her white lace gown and looked beautiful with her jewels and bouquet. Suddenly she said, “My veil! Where’s my veil?” The maids ran helter-skelter around the rooms looking for the veil. Soon, the attendants and the soldiers joined the search. Everyone was frantic. All of a sudden, a voice was heard from the window, “The veil’s here!” It was the gardener. The veil had flown out of the window and got caught in a creeper! The band began to play as the Princess stepped out looking magnificent in her veil!
