The hair of the lion-tailed macaque is black. It has a silver-white mane on a black, hairless face. It has a black tuft at the end, similar to a lion’s tail. Its diet consists of fruits, leaves, buds, insects and small vertebrates. Its life expectancy is up to 20 years in the wild approximately and 30 years in captivity.
