The lion’s mane jellyfish gets its name from its tentacles. It has a pointed, star-like bell and tentacles of varying lengths; some are as long as 30 metres. It comes in colours like crimson, purple, orange and tan. Its diet is made of zooplankton, small fish, ctenophores and moon jellies. Capable of both sexual and asexual reproduction, it lives for a year.
