Lolo, the Blue Ox

Lolo, the Blue Ox

Once, a farmer named Horo was ploughing his field in bitterly cold weather. While ploughing he saw a blue baby ox shivering with cold. Horo took the ox to his house and started calling him Lolo. Lolo helped Horo plough the field and carry heavy loads. But Lolo didn’t like to work in summer as the roads were rough. Winter arrived. Lolo fell in love with his neighbour’s calf named Somas.

Horo bought Somas from his neighbour. But Somas loved to work in the summer season, and hated the winter season. Due to the bitter cold Somas grew so thin. Horo made a plan and gave Somas green goggle’s so that she would think it was summer. This made Somas very happy and she gave a lot of milk. Horo made lots of butter from the milk. The leftover butter was used to grease the roads in summer. Lolo was now happy to work even in summers as the roads were smooth.
