Long-Bill told his King that he challenged the soldiers of Jambudweepa telling them that Silver Plume was the greatest King in the world. The angry soldiers took him to their King Jewel Plume and presented him as a wicked crane who was criticising their country and king. Long-Bill said he was from Karpuradweepa. A vulture sitting near by asked him who the prime minister in that kingdom was. “Chakravaka, the goose,” said Long-Bill, “He is learned in all the scriptures.” He claimed that the King of Karpuradweepa was the emperor over Jambudweepa as well. This was disputed and King Jewel Plume said the matter would be decided through a war. “Tell your King to prepare for war,” said Jewel Plume. So, Long-Bill asked him to send his messenger to his master along with him to carry the message of war.
