Having ensured their privacy, Rama turned to Dharmaraja and asked for Lord Vishnu’s message. “Lord, your life on earth is over. I have come to fetch you If you like to serve mankind for a little while longer, you may do so, according to your will,” explained Dharmaraja. “O Dharmaraja, I am so happy you have come!” said Sri Rama, “I came to this earth as a human being for the benefit of the three worlds. My task is completed and I am ready to return to heaven because it is from there that I came to this world. I came to relieve the fears and apprehensions of the gods. In fact, I have been waiting for you. There is nothing more left for me to do here.” They conversed for quite some time, talking about life, death, duty and various other philosophical topics.
