Lulu had just been purchased by Farmer Wren and brought to the farm. She was a very superior sheep! She looked at the pen and sniffed. “This place is not so good as the one where I was earlier,” she announced. No one paid any attention. “That had some very pleasant sheep and the pen was fragrant and had fresh grass too,” Lulu went on, “And there were no nasty sheepdogs, either.” The other sheep looked at one another and decided that Lulu should be taught a lesson. They whispered the plan and not a single sheep would speak to Lulu. When they went grazing, they obeyed the sheepdog, Partner, while Lulu argued with him! Finally, Partner nipped Lulu’s leg and she ran back to the pen. No one sympathised with her, for Farmer Wren was a kind master. For two days, Lulu sulked and then decided that this was a good place after all!
