The Luxor Temple is an ancient Egyptian Temple complex; built in Thebes, present-day Luxor in 1400 BC.
Nick-named the world’s largest outdoor museum, the Luxor Temple is built in Nubian Sandstone. Unlike other temples, it was not devoted to a cult god or deified version of a King but to the revival of kingship. It is believed to be the place where the Kings of Egypt were crowned.
Amazing Fact: The obelisks to the entrance of the temple are created to look the same height, but in fact are not.
