Popularly known as MLK, Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on the 15th of January 1929 and passed away on 4th April, 1968.

Do you know that MLK was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964, and is known through history for his speech in 1963, titled ‘I have a dream’?

A Baptist minister and civil rights activist, MLK was instrumental in ending the legal segregation of African-American citizens across the U.S.A. He was also responsible for the creation of the Civil Rights Act (1964) and Voting Rights Act (1965).
