The mink is a common name for the semi-aquatic mammal. For centuries, they were trapped for fur, and only recently, due to various campaigns, were they put on a critical listing. The government in the US has made provisions for mink trapping for two months in a year in autumn and early winter. Thus no pregnant minks are trapped.
