The Paddington Farm had a new tractor, bright red and sturdy. They named it Moby. A little shed was built for it. Tom came every morning to clean and oil him. Moby was very comfortable. But he was very lonely, for there was no one else in the shed. One evening, the door of the shed was open and Moby got a chance to roll out! He went around and soon he had made friends with all the farm creatures and when night fell, he rolled back into the shed. Tom stopped shutting the door and now everyone had a wonderful time. Moby took all the chickens and ducklings, the sheep and the little lamb for a ride! Amber, the spaniel, and Jo, the horse, trotted along beside Moby. Squirrels, frogs and an owl had joined the evening outings with Moby. They all hid when Hilda, the farm cat, was around.
