Long ago, there was a man named Aleke Gebre Hanna. One day, he decided to leave Addis Ababa and go to Gojjam. So, he collected all his money. As it was a huge amount, he put it in a sack and left. As soon as he arrived at the Blue Nile Bridge, he was scared to see the policemen as they might take away his money. So, he waited for a while and started thinking about the way he could save his money from being taken away. Finally, an idea struck him. He kept all his money in a coffin and acted as if his son had died. Thereafter, he started crying, “Birr, my son! Birr, my son!” The policemen heard his cries and felt sorry for him. They also started crying, thinking his son was dead and let him pass without looking what was inside the coffin. As he passed by them, he said, “Foolish policemen. I could deceive them so easily.”
