It is an omnivore and eats insects, small invertebrates and fruits. The monkey lives in the dense and humid forest of Chilean bamboo. Its body length is 11.0-12.5 cm. Its tail length is 9-10 cm. The female reproduces in spring and can have a litter size varying anywhere from one to four young.
